Civic Democratic Party's forums - [1] |
The Civic Democratic Party is a political party that is dedicated to maintaining fiscal and social practicality within Taijitu.
Political Stances
- Money is ultimately what is important to the region, so the budget must be balanced at almost all costs.
- There is no longer a need for labor unions, as working conditions are now maintained by regional and WA legislature.
- The Party has no official religion, and all religions are and should be viewed as the same, with no special preference to one religion or another.
- Every citizen is guaranteed certain inalienable rights, such as Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Expression, Right to Bear Arms, Freedom of Opinion, etc.
- Any breach of these rights is totally unacceptable and the individual or group that breaches said rights is subject to major consequences.
- The personal privacy of citizens is paramount, and no part of the government should be allowed to breach the relative privacy of an individual.
- While personal privacy is important, freedom of information from the government and corporations is also very important, and keeps a level of trust between the "upper class" and the average person
- The bureaucratic cabinet is key to keeping the government, namely the delegate, balanced.
Structure
- Any citizen is permitted to request to join the CDP by inquiring on the forum page dedicated to the CDP.
- A candidate running for the office of delegate is required to select a running mate from the CDP. (Except for in the case that there is too few available members in the party to run as Vice Delegate)
- Members of the Party may move for the party to endorse and/or nominate any citizen running for public office within the Taijitu government, regardless of the candidate's party affiliation.
- Any changes to the structure of the Civic Democratic Party may be enacted through internal voting withing the party.
- The chairman of the CDP is the leader of the Party. The Chairman is selected in an internal election, held the 1st of every month.
- In the event that the Chair is vacated for any reason, there shall be a prompt Special Election, the date of which will be approved by a majority vote within the party.
- The chairman's duties include making official public statements on behalf of the Party and approving or denying applications to join the party.
- When elections for chairman take place, any CDP member may endorse/nominate any other CDP member.
History
The Civic Democratic Party was founded on April 16th, 2012, to fill the conservative void left by the sudden disappearance of the People's Nationalist Liberation Front, and to bring opposition to the long reigning Progressive Party.
