History |
The Oaths Act was a Taijituan law which establishes the oaths of office for all regional government offices. It was passed by the Senate on July 8, 2010 and signed into law by the delegate on July 10, 2010. It was repealed June 20, 2014.
Origins
The Constitution of Taijitu requires all members of the government to take an oath before they can officially assume office. However, the Constitution does not specify the actual content of these oaths, saying only that they may be regulated by law. Because of this the Oaths Act was proposed soon after the Constitution's ratification to establish the content of these oaths. In the brief period between the ratification of the Constitution and signing of the Oaths Act into, government officials used the oaths which had been established under the previous constitution.
