The legislative branch takes the form of a Citizens Assembly known as the Ecclesia. The body consists of all current Citizens of Taijitu. The Ecclesia has the power to create, modify or repeal legislation. They also have the responsibility to vote on all treaties with other regions. The body's primary responsibilities are legislative and it may pass laws by a majority vote. The body may also appoint a Citizen-Mediator if laws are broken. The Ecclesia's business is presided over by a Citizen-Initiator, elected by the Ecclesia by a majority vote.
