Drugs in Khem are as much a part of life as alcohol in other nations, they are everywhere and commonly consumed. This ubiquity does not however lead to a nation of addicts as most Khems have learned the lessons of moderation and the threat of "re-education" keeps most from following such a path. While true that there is a certain level of drug use encouraged (and in some cases required) by the Library, ecstatic use and entheogens are held to be for religious use rather than a daily event. As such the common drugs encountered are Coca/Ksher/Cocaine, Opium/Pashk/Opiates, Caffeinated Beverages, Alcoholic Beverages, Cannabis, Zuavka, Nicotine, MDMA and Anabolic Steroids.<br>
