Gridiron Football League

The Gridiron Football Organization (or GFO) is the most popular football league in The Republic of Megatridimensional Order, and has the highest average attendance of any sports league in the world. Its championship game, the Mega Bowl, is played on a national holiday called Super Mega Day, and ranks among the most-watched club sporting events in Taijitu. The GFO consists of sixteen (16) teams, divided equally between the Pelagia Football Conference (PC) and the Libian Football Conference (LC). The GTO's regular season runs from the week of Labor Day to Super Mega Day. Each team plays sixteen games. Following the conclusion of the regular season, three teams from each conference (two division winners and one wild card team) advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament culminating in the Mega Bowl, played between the champions of the PC and the LC.

The GTFO was formed in 1893.
