The Senate of Taijitu is the legislative division of the government of Taijitu, and has the power to pass both laws and amend the Constitution. The Senate also is responsible for electing the Delegate and its own Speaker, confirming Justices, and removing from office any members of the government which it believes have violated the laws of Taijitu or their oaths of office.

Membership

Any citizen of Taijitu can potentially become a Senator. As defined by the Constitution, any citizen who has held citizenship for 15 days can apply to become a Senator. They are however subject to a review by the incumbent Senate and confirmation by a majority vote, and once they have the office can be removed by a majority vote as well.

The Speaker of the Senate
