Taijituan External Affairs
External Affairs, as one of the Government positions of Taijitu, was open from the beginning of the region. As an office, it's purpose is to handle the region's position in the game of Nationstates through dealing with other regions. It is an appointed office, as designated in The Constitution of Taijitu. The High Councillor is chosen by the Elected Delegate.
The High Councillor's duties are:
- To keep the External Affairs section on Taijitu's forum in order and to respond to queries or embassy requests that are written there.
- To respond to questions about the office from any member of the Taijitu forum.
- To write regular regional reports detailing events in Taijitu.
- To request embassy exchange with reasons that are deemed to be suitable targets for said exchange.
These duties, however, are subject to change as the Delegate sees fit.

Embassies
The Heart of the External Affairs Section - Embassy Exchange is at the heart of the External Affairs system, as it allows regions to grow friendships and share information as to how things are going. Regions can request embassies here, or, they get one created if the High Councillor requests an embassy with them on their forum and is accepted.
Taijitu, unlike some regions, for the time being, operates a single tier External Affairs system. Many regions will offer Consulates at a lower level and an embassy only to a region with an alliance with their region. The North Pacific, a feeder region, is a good example of such a system.
Taijitu has no official alliances for the time being and, no sort of alliance document has been drafted as of yet, making embassies the highest level of diplomatic exchange Taijitu offers for the time being.
For a list of Embassies, see below.
The Regional Reports
The High Councillor for Taijituan External Affairs will work to release a series of Regional Newsletters, or reports, which will be reported here as and when they are released. These reports will detail regional happenings, the number of nations in the region, the current Delegate and any other important information that other regions may find of interest. Often, they will also have small sections for each area of Taijituan life.
