Cantator Cornelius VII (Pelagian: Chanteur Corneille VII), born Hernando Ibáñez Brazagac was the Supreme Pontiff and Cantator of the Universal Pelagian Church from July 12, 1348 until his death on November 21, 1357. His reign was considered one of great cultural development in the Church and throughout Pelagia. However, it was not without controversy and scandal, especially regarding his son, Oveco. Some notable parts of his Pontificate include his disagreements (and also his moments of cooperation) with Empress Berenguela of Pelagia and his spread of Universal doctrine to vast expanses of the world. He was also applauded amongst his peers for his handling of the schism between the Universal Pelagian Church and the Eruvite Church.
