The regional flag of Taijitu consists of a taijitu, positioned left of center, with thirty-two black and white rays emanating from behind it. The original design was conceived by Delfos. It is modeled on the ensign of the Japanese navy, with the color red replaced by black and the sun disk by a taijitu, a long standing symbol of the region which bears its name. The final implementation of the design was done by Gulliver. The flag was officially adopted on July 5, 2010, by popular referendum through the Flag and Seals Act.
