Signing posts is good etiquette when leaving a message on talk pages of both articles and users. Since these places are locations of discussion and debate, people want to know who they are speaking to. You should also sign any posts you want a reply to, for example when requesting help at the Help Desk.
Signing your name is simple. Just type four tildes (~) in a row, and the Taijitu Wiki will convert this into your signature and leave a timestamp attatched, too.
So, write your text. Then leave a couple of spaces or a line in between your text and where you will sign, then type ~~~~. Simple!
