The Poll began as a parody of a poll asked by the Taijituan newspaper the Taijitu Sun, and soon outlived the newspaper itself. Upon the rebirth of Taijitu, Wast restarted the polls, but instead making them a daily occurrence instead of a weekly one as they had been before Taijitu's crash.
Upon the second rebirth of Taijitu, Wast restarted the polls once again, and they are now posted daily. With funding from the Ministry of Lulz, Wast has been able to significantly improve quality of polls, which are now 35% more exciting according to recent studies.
