Aircraft Update Programme

Super Phantom FGR-3AUP (Modernised Phantom)

In this project several new techniques have been used to turn the old phantoms into a 4th generation standard multirole fighter. The two seat cockpit is removed and replaced by a single cockpit with a bubble canopy and the space the second seat used to take up is now used by a 23mm cannon and extra fuel. Inside the new cockpit there is a state of the art array of LCD display and it is very simalar to the cockpit out of a F-35 fighter. The upgrade also includes the entire plane being controled by a "fly by wire" computer or allow more manuverblity. Thye engine have also been replaced by two Eurojet EJ200 afterburning turbofans to increase the fuel efficency of the fighter.
